Gave the primer a light sand with 120 sandpaper and in some places wire wool and it is very smooth which would make a good base for the undercoat but due to it being so thin I am wondering whether to give it another coat of primer and light sand again before undercoating. I have put loads of effort into this and want to get a good finish but don't want to make the paintwork too thick like it was before. On the other hand I am worried that because the primer is really thin the wood might not be sealed properly. Would be really grateful for any advice.
