For those of you who like Oriental rugs but, soon after pricing them at a rug store, don't think you could afford to have 1, contemplate your local auction residence. In some areas of the country, Oriental rugs sell at auction for considerably less than their actual value. This is particularly true in numerous areas of the Southeast. In case you were to shop at a rug store, the dealer waiting on you'd answer all of your questions and explain the distinct types of Oriental rugs and the best way to evaluate them. Even though you will pay much less for a rug at an auction, no one there's going to help educate you on the ins and outs of Oriental rugs. Considering that auctions sell all sorts of merchandise, to include all forms of rugs and carpets, you will need to rely on your personal understanding just to determine if a rug that has caught your eye is actually an authentic Oriental or just a copy of one.
I've been professionally cleaning Oriental and other area rugs including wool, cotton, silk, and polypropylene for over twenty years. Should you are unsure about how to go about cleaning your oriental rugs, I have five tips for you. It is worth it to pay somewhat much more and ensure that you're hiring a real rug cleaning expert who has both expertise and credentials. The most effective cleaning technique will depend on the rug, but do not try to clean it yourself. You could ruin it, and you won't be able to get the desired result anyway, so do not waste your time, call a pro. I recommend someone with IICRC (international Institute of Cleaning and Restoration Certification) credentials, or Woolsafe credentials, or both.

HOW CAN YOU KILL LICE?
My sis got head lice from her school friend... and we bought RID Maximum Strength lice killing shampoo and put it on her. We nit combed her everyday. But everyday 1-2 live lice came out and few nits. The rest of our family don't have lice (at least for now). We've been nit combing for about 4 days since we applied the shampoo. are we missing something that we should do? We washed all the bedding and rug.. etc. Does RID work well? Are we supposed to use natural treatments like olive oil, tea tree oil, and vinegar to completely get rid of lice? I thought the RID shampoo would kill everything right away... but I guess I was wrong. Please help with suggestions!!!!
Rid is wonderful.....but everything you touch....clothing, bedding, toys, furniture, carpets, EVERYTHING, has to be sprayed, washed, and/or disposed of to kill the nits. My son's came home with lice 3 times in one summer.....It cost me about $200 to clean, spray, wash, and or destroy what ever they came in contact with each time. Think of all the places a head goes and bingo....that is where you have to kill them.
You will discover questions that will need answering about any rug just before you bid on it. Either the auctioneer or the auction home owner will answer questions for you if they can. Even so, they themselves might not know all that significantly much more than you do so, chances are, you're on your personal. We don't suggest you solicit other shoppers at preview for info. There is nothing wrong with doing so except you might be asking an individual who is interested in bidding on the same rug. If which is the case, this person could intentionally mislead you.
Do your homework. Familiarize yourself with neighborhood rug dealers. Shop their shops and take a look at their prices. Attend a couple of auctions that have Oriental rugs for sale and see what they sell for. Extra importantly, who's getting them? Are the dealers that you have met the ones who are bidding on them and purchasing them? If so, they are most likely decent rugs. Most dealers won't purchase sub-standard or defective rugs at auction, due to the fact they're the ones who send those sorts of rugs to auction inside the initial location. Since most dealers have access to an unlimited number of rugs via their connections, once you know what you are performing, do not be afraid to bid against them. They will only pay so a lot at auction for a rug. Don't forget they are getting wholesale so they can mark it as much as include their profit margin. In the event you bid extra than they do, you are going to get it for a lot less than their retail. Absolutely nothing expresses warmth more than rugs, just like the Rugs Natural Olive you'll see on this page.
